About this Class

The instructor will share nine important communication skills in every relationship and ways to increase positive communication, deal with differences, manage stress, set financial goals, and maintain a happy and healthy friendship bond. Couples will participate in fun relationship-strengthening activities with their partner during the workshop.

The instructor will also discuss the physiology of love and how the heart-brain connection impacts relationships. She will introduce the concept of mindfulness as a potential way of being present and intentional within the couple relationship.

This exciting workshop will be held on MONDAYS (and one Thursday) from 6:00-8:30 once a week for 5 weeks on Feb. 10th, Feb. 20th (Thur), Feb. 24th, Mar. 2nd, and Mar. 9th at:

UF/IFAS Extension Duval County, 1010 N McDuff Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32254.

A FREE light MEAL will be served at each class and you may be eligible for GIFT CARDS.

FAQs

What if we can’t come on the first night?

Both in the couple are required to attend the first session for registration purposes. If one or both will not be able to attend the first session, please reschedule to attend an upcoming workshop.

What if we need to miss a class after we start attending?

The instructor will discuss make-up options during the first night of class.

What if I have transportation or childcare issues that make it hard for me to get to class?

Since workshop is offered during dinner hours, will food be provided?

Yes. A free light meal will be served from 6:00-6:30 p.m. If you have dietary restrictions, please contact Felicia Wright at (904) 255-7450 or f.wright@ufl.edu so meals can be planned accordingly.
